Hump Day

Everyone have a good Wednesday?

Mine was pretty fun :)

Went to normal story time at 10... or a little after 10 :) then went to the zoo with my kiddos and my sesster (That's my sis-in-law for yall that don't know). It was a bit chilly this morning so I was kinda not looking forward to that aspect, but it turned out to be a beautiful day! I love taking the kids to the zoo because even though we've been there lots of times, they don't get tired of it! I also learned a lot about naked mole rats... did you know they are immune to cancer? And they are neither a mole or a rat... food for thought.

By the end of the zoo day, I was TIRED, we are were. But its Wednesday which means Nunny and Boompa's house and then church. Have I mentioned how amazing my in-laws are? If you don't know, which most of you do, they are the best. Not your typical "I can't stand them, annoying" in-laws. And as wonderful of parents they are, they are wonderful grandparents as well! Seriously, my kids are THE LUCKIEST kids in the world to have Nunny and Boompa in their life... Boompa and Brad were playing Doodlebops while Gracie was making supper with Nunny. I love going over there because its just like coming home. Even though its not where I grew up or anything, but its just the way families should be. Supportive, encouraging, fun, loving...wonderful :)

So saying that, I have to add that they also have the best Auntie and Uncle. They would, and do anything and everything for these kiddos. Its great right now because they don't have any kids yet, so they get to spoil ours :) But I can't wait for the day when I get to be the Auntie!! Aunt Candi.... but I'll wait, I know she's got a plan in mind on when that will happen :)

So, we went over there for an hour or so and then headed off to church. I teach TeamKID on Wed nights with my "Momma T" and right now we are learning about different character traits God wants us to have. Today's was about being excellent. We told the kids about how God wants us to be excellent in everything we do, whether its something we enjoy, or don't, everyday things like doing dishes or homework or whatever... in EVERYTHING be excellent... it was a lesson for me as well. I can remember when Daniel and I were dating and first married, he had to clean our old church every Saturday night and he would sometimes not really do it the way it should be done and I can remember his Dad telling him to do everything with excellence... he was right. I miss having him as a pastor... ok getting off track, anyway...

The lesson was very convicting for me because most of the time I do what is needed but rarely do I go above and beyond... we told the kids to do things as if we were doing them for God, if he was right there. That's something to think about... it certaintly was for me.

So, today was good, long, and eventful :) onto tomorrow, school in the morning. I had to fight Brad to do his homework and Grace wanted more to do :) Oh the difference between girls and boys.

Ok, so I am already wishing I never started this 30 day challange with the pictures, but like I told you I have committment issues and I never finish anything. So, this time, I took the challange and dog gone it I will finish it!!

DAY 7: A picture of your most treasured item

Ok, so I'm gonna cheat because I don't want to take a picture of it, but I have two. One are my photo albums and the second is my wedding ring

DAY 8: A picture that makes you laugh
