Living the Dream
Its been a while (I feel like I always say that!). Its been a few months and we now have a new family member! Introducing the beautiful Emily RaeAnne Childers!
Isn't she lovely?
She was born March 10, 2012 at 2:16 in the morning. Weighed 7lbs 9oz and was 20 inches long :)
She stole our hearts from the first look, anyone who doens't believe in love at first sight must not have ever had a baby :)
She took her sweet time making her grand arrival! I got to the hospital at 7:30 Friday morning and after a day full of trying to get the process going, the fun started at around 9pm I would say. She did great in the hospital and then showed her true colors when we got home! She is a little high maintenance, and lets us know when she wants somthing, thats for sure! But we are all in love with her, how can you not be? Look at that face!!
So how am I doing? Pretty good, actually. Adjusting to a new baby in the house and still managing the other two has been a little bit of a struggle, but a quick transition I would say. Things just kept going, life kept going and it was sink or swim, so I put my floaties on :) I had to get back into the routine of packing the diaper bags, making bottles, changing diapers, carrying a carseat... all the things that I haven't done in a while! I didn't realize how big my babies had gotten until I got a new one! Brad and Gracie are super helpers and they just love thier little sister. I am TRULY truly blessed.
I was getting a water out of the fridge today and I had an epiphany. I am one of those women I always wanted to be like when I grew up! I have a WONDERFUL husband who loves me and or kids more than anything. And he even does some housework ;) I always wanted children, for as long I can remember. And I always knew I wanted more than 2, and now I have 3!! And they are beautiful, hilarious, SO smart, and just fun! I have my own house that I am learning to maintain. Its a lot bigger than our last two houses, but I think I'm doing a decent job. I have a new walking buddy so I can get my pre pre pre pregnancy body back (thats the one I had before I got pregnant with Brad!) I am a TBall Mom ( not a soccer Mom) so we are starting to get into schedules and practices and games, and I love it! I've got the big Mom car with three rows of seats for all the kids and their friends and family vacations. We've got the family dog and cat, bikes in the front yard.... everything but a white picket fence (hmm... maybe this summer....) and I LOVE IT! My life is everything I've ever wanted! Good family, good friends, all because of an AWESOME God. I am just so thankful. I am truly living my dream. Now if you'll excuse me, I've to go pick up the kids from school and then go to the store to get a few things for taco night with the Blodgetts :)
"I've gotta feeling, that tonights gonna be a good good night!"
<3, Candi
