Changes, dreaded changes

I don't like change! I like my schedules, plans, knowing what I'm doing, stability, routine..... I don't like changes. This summer has included a lot of changes! Changes in relationships with friends, changes in my weekly schedule with the kids, changes in transportation since my car was broken for like a month! Changes in where we live, this one has thrown me for a doozy! And I'm sure there are more changes coming as my kids start school, we move into our new house with a new neighborhood.... ugh.

Now don't get me wrong, most of these changes are WONDERFUL! Amazing blessings in my life from the Lord, but God has this thing where He likes to bring me out of my comfort zone to follow His will.... I'm not a fan sometimes :) I don't like confrontation, I don't like moving, I don't like letting go of my kids, and I don't like change! Have I already said that? Like I always say, truth it truth, what are ya gonna do? But enough about that, let me tell you about my epic weekend last week!!!

Picture this, 4 girls hit the road to see their favorite boy band, fulfilling a life long dream that didn't happen as a teenager, but now in their twenties finally venturing on! YES!
Laci, Aubrey, Karah, and I all went to on a girl's weekend/roadtrip to Galveston and then the Houston to see none other than NKOTBSB!!! For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about (shame on you) New Kids On The Block and BackStreet Boys! (get it? they share a B)

Oh my goodness, best trip EVER! Now, I'm gonna be honest here, I wasn't sure how this trip was gonna go.... Laci and Aubrey have not always been the best of friends, although they are friends now. They both have strong personalities and we all know sometimes strong personalities clash! Karah and I am the shy conservative ones, and Karah and Aubrey didn't really know each other before the trip.... BUT none of that mattered! Perfect trip, fun, crazy, bold, hilarious, happy, no fights, sharing make up and hair stuff and perfume, just like in the old days! Night out on the Seawall, pretty crazy but fun! A day at the beach, ok so maybe an hour at the beach, all I needed! CONCERT in Houston along with a stay in a very nice hotel! Then home again home again jiggity jig. Seriously it was the best girl's weekend ever.

I love my friends! Not just the ones that went on this trip but I truly love all of my friends! My friends ages range from teenagers up to ladies old enough to be my parents, and I love them all. They are FUN, sweet, smart, beautiful, and my favorite people to spend time with aside from my family :) I also love that my sister in law is my best friend, I have only recently realized how rare and special that is... Love you Lou :)

Ok, so maybe all this change is getting me ready for something God has been working on for me. He's always up to something :) I'm ready Lord, change me!
